Firearms Training Courses

Freedom Ranch Firearms, LLC Constitutional Carry class was designed for people looking to carry a firearm concealed and/or for current permit holders looking for a dedicated Constitutional carry class. In this class we discuss firearms safety, basic fundamentals, concealed handgun selection, and a variety of carry methods and correlating draw techniques for each method. We then move to our range for live fire practice. Upon completion, students will understand carrying concealed advantages and proper firearm presentation when required.

Requirements: No previous firearms experience necessary. Students will need a semi-automatic pistol along with 50 rounds of ammunition. Students are encouraged to bring the pistol they plan on carrying with its holster. Rental pistols are available on a limited basis. Students may bring their own ammunition, or purchase from us.

Freedom Ranch Firearms, LLC Basic Pistol class teaches weapons awareness, ready positions and shooting fundamentals specific to a semi-automatic pistol. This fundamental level class lays the groundwork for further pistol training, and is a prerequisite for our Advanced Pistol class and is approximately 3 hours in length, including both classroom and range time. The skills learned in the classroom will be reinforced on the range during live fire drills. All skills learned in this class are foundational and are reviewed and expanded upon in further classes.

Requirements: No previous firearms experience is necessary. Students will need a semi-automatic pistol along with 100 rounds of ammunition. Students are encouraged to bring their own pistols, but rental pistols are available on a limited basis. Students may bring their own ammunition or purchase from us.

Our Tactical Pistol class is for advanced tactical pistol shooters only. Students will quickly review the primary skills learned in our Basic Pistol class (a prerequisite), and then expand upon them. This course will cover advanced tactical pistol skills such as the use of barricades and atypical shooting positions. The skills taught, and the drills utilized, are used by members of the US Special Operations community.

Most drills will start from the holstered position and include: engaging multiple targets, combat and tactical reloads, strong/support hand shooting, shooting while moving, use of barricades, shooting from atypical positions, and shooting while under time or physical stress. It is highly recommended to be very proficient with the basic pistol course and comfortable moving to the next level. This course is approximately 3.5 hours long and includes a limited classroom portion and 2+ hours on the range. To maximize range time, this class is limited to five participants.

Requirements: Basic Pistol. Students will need a semi-automatic pistol along with 150 rounds of ammunition. Students are encouraged to bring their own pistols, but rental pistols are available on a limited basis. Students may bring their own ammunition or purchase from us.

The Freedom Ranch Firearms, LLC Rifle Basics class teaches weapons awareness, ready positions, and shooting fundamentals specific to the AR platform rifle. This fundamental level class lays the groundwork for further AR training and is a prerequisite for our Advanced Rifle class. The class is approximately 3 hours in length including both classroom and range time, and will cover basic firearms safety rules, weapons awareness, ready positions, and the fundamentals of shooting an AR.

Requirements: No previous firearms experience necessary, but highly recommended. Students will need an AR platform rifle along with 100 rounds of ammunition. Students are encouraged to bring their own rifles. Students may bring their own ammunition or purchase from us.

Freedom Ranch Firearms, LLC  introduces students to tactical rifle shooting. We briefly review the basics from our Rifle class and then expand upon them. Students will begin drills from the high/low ready positions incorporating sling work. We will also cover engaging multiple targets, transition drills, combat & tactical reloads, strong/support hand shooting, and shooting while moving! This course is approximately 3-1/2 hours long and includes a brief classroom period along with substantial range time.

Requirements: Basic Rifle. Students will need an AR platform along with 150 rounds of ammunition. Students are encouraged to bring their own rifles. Students may bring their own ammunition or purchase from us.

Freedom Ranch Firearms, LLC Women’s Basic Handgun & Self Defense Fundamentals Training is designed to reach women students who are brand new to firearms or women who maybe have never picked up a gun before. This training is also great for women who are intermediate/advanced shooters ready to learn more about defensive shooting/situational awareness and take the next step with their firearms skills.

The fundamentals of shooting will be introduced, reviewed, and built upon while also exploring universal safety rules, situational awareness, risk reduction strategies to discourage threats, simple self-defense tactics, common types of handguns, levels of carry/where to carry, marksmanship skills, basic firearms handling, and the use of deadly force. Specifically, our Women’s Basic Handgun & Self Defense Fundamentals Training is all about empowerment and sharing the basics‚ along with the fun, seriousness, and importance of being a responsibly armed person.

Requirements: No prior experience is required to take this training. Students will need a semi-automatic pistol or revolver along with 50 rounds of ammunition. Students are encouraged to bring the pistol they plan on carrying with their holster or bag. Rental pistols are available on a limited basis. Students may bring their own ammunition or purchase from us.

Are your children interested in shooting? Join our Youth Training Classes to teach your kid firearm safety, shooting fundamentals, and basic care and maintenance of their firearms! Our youth program teaches kids ages 10-17 how to have fun with firearms with safety as the number one priority. We have pistol, rifle, and shotgun classes that teach safety, fundamentals of shooting, and anatomy of the firearms, ammunition, and more. Check out our youth classes and provide your child with an amazing hobby.

Requirements: Age 10-17, Students will not need any firearms or ammunition, but are encouraged to bring one if so desire. Signed permission from parent or guardian. Parents or guardians are encouraged to participate in a supporting role.
